History
In 1996, Compass Design was created to be a unique firm that would provide hospitality interior solutions while fully understanding the business and financial aspects of the hospitality industry.

In 2000, Compass Design partnered with HVS to form HVScompass Interior Design. In 2001 another partnership was formed with JN+A, an architecture and project management firm based near Washington, D.C., and HVScompass began serving its clients from the Washington, D.C. office. Since that time, the firm has grown rapidly. In August 2005 the Boston, Massachusetts office opened for business.

Today, HVScompass employs many designers within its offices and has designed hundreds of hotels, resorts, restaurants, and assisted living facilities throughout the U.S. and abroad.
